Deon Paros

An Island Home. Agia Irini, Paros — overlooking the sunset and the expansive gulf of Parikia.

The House

A carefully considered retreat on untamed Cycladic earth.

DEON Paros is our family's first island home—a carefully considered retreat set on a vast stretch of untamed Cycladic earth.

Located in Agia Irini, overlooking the sunset and the expansive gulf of Parikia, DEON sits quietly among some of the island's most distinguished homes.

DEON derives from the ancient Greek concept το δέον—that which is fitting. Every decision, from the scale of the house to the materials that shape it, follows a simple principle: build only what belongs.

  • Value proportion over scale.

Luxury is measured by the quality of space, not the quantity of square metres.

  • Design for everyday living.

Beauty should emerge through use, comfort, and simplicity.

  • Evolve with care.

DEON is never finished. It matures with every season, every tree planted, and every thoughtful improvement.

Landscape

The house follows the land—not the opposite.

The landscape preserves the raw character of the island: wild grasses, native flowers, sun-baked stone, and summer brush, with a native garden beginning to take root around the terrace.

DEON is a living project, evolving with care over time. Like the landscape around it, it will continue to grow, season by season.

Experience

Space to breathe.

Immense privacy, uninterrupted 360-degree views, and a quiet balance between Cycladic heritage and contemporary living define the experience at DEON.

Calm, clarity, and inspiration emerge naturally here—carried by the Aegean breeze, the open horizon, and the simple luxury of space to breathe.

Living at DEON

The house was built with care and is shared in the same spirit.

  • Respect the landscape.
  • Use water thoughtfully.
  • Allow the young garden to grow.
  • Preserve the quiet of the hill.
  • Leave the house as you found it.

The DEON Guide

Written from decades of research and lived experience on Paros.

A personal collection of places, routines, and local knowledge that reflects how we experience the island ourselves.

DEON documents the island rather than markets it. We share places, seasons, architecture, craftsmanship, and everyday observations. The aim is not to persuade people to visit. It is to deepen their appreciation of Paros.

The Guide is shared with guests before arrival.
